Frequently Asked Questions
How does the LWG-400 compare to the LWG-500?
The LWG-400 delivers up to 400 A versus 500 A on the LWG-500, and 20 kW versus 25 kW auxiliary power. It is correspondingly lighter, smaller and consumes about 20% less fuel, which makes it the better fit for maintenance fleets and mid-scale fabrication.
Is 400 A enough for structural steel?
Yes for most structural work. For heavy continuous welding on thick sections or long production runs, the LWG-500 with higher thermal capacity is the better choice.
Can I power tools from it while welding?
Yes. Three-phase AC 400 V / 16 kW and single-phase AC 230 V / 6.9 kW auxiliary output is available while welding.
